Riverside Minor Hockey Association

John played for the Riverside Minor Hockey Association between the ages of nine and seventeen years old.  During that time, John qualified for the various levels of travel teams. In the spring of 1993, his team was selected to travel to Europe to play hockey in England, Scotland and Holland. The Team Spirit Award pictured above is presented in memory of John Strong to the player who has contributed most to their team's motivation and spirit building. John was always an inspiration to his fellow players as he often motivated them with his charisma and humour before the games.  The Riverside Hockey Association has established a memorial in John’s memory.
